The Scholarship Department of the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board is dedicated to recognizing and rewarding academic excellence among students from Delta State. Our scholarship programs aim to support exceptional students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance, providing them with the financial resources needed to pursue higher education and achieve their full potential.
Benefits
- The scholarship award of up to ?100,000 will be awarded to successful applicants.
- The Delta State Bursary award will provide a sum of ?10,000 to all selected beneficiaries.
Requirements
- Delta State Origin: Applicants must be of Delta State origin.
- National Identification Number (NIN): Must possess a valid NIN.
- Enrollment in Tertiary Institutions: Must be registered full-time students in government-approved public tertiary institutions.
- Academic Performance: Must have a CGPA of 4.20 and above in the previous academic year’s examination.
- Bank Account: Must have an account with a CBN-approved commercial bank.
Selection Process
Important Dates:
- Application Period: June 1st – June 30th, 2024.
- Verification: Physical verification will be conducted at the close of the registration period in your respective schools.

Method of Application
- Online Application: Log on to http://www.dsbsb.dl.gov.ng and click on the “APPLY NOW” button to submit your scholarship form.
- Processing Fee: Pay the non-refundable online processing fee using a debit card.
- Acknowledgment Card: Download and print the online acknowledgment card for your personal record.
