Our Flying Scholarships provide an incredible opportunity for individuals to explore career pathways in aviation, aerospace, and space. Whether you’re a beginner or have prior flying experience, our scholarships cater to different skill levels, offering structured learning, hands-on flight experience, and career support.
Scholarship Programs
We offer three levels of scholarships to suit different experience levels:
1. 3-Hour Introductory Flying Scholarship
- Duration: 2 days
- Perfect for beginners with little or no flying experience
- Learn aircraft fueling, pre-flight checklists, and basic radio communication
- Includes ground school theory to build foundational knowledge
2. 5-Hour Intermediate Flying Scholarship
- Duration: 2-4 days
- Designed for those with basic flying experience
- Covers advanced ground school and flying techniques
- Learn take-off, taxiing, turning, climbing, and radio communications
- May include an introduction to Air Law
3. 12-Hour Advanced Flying Scholarship
- Duration: Up to 10 days
- Aimed at candidates ready to go solo or complete their Private Pilot License (PPL) training
- Provides intensive flying experience with the goal of solo flights
- Ideal for dedicated individuals looking to advance their aviation careers

What are the eligibility criteria?
- Must be 16 years or older by June 1, 2025
- Must be a UK resident
- Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply, with reasonable adjustments made as needed
Where are the scholarships conducted?
Our scholarships take place at approved training providers, including:
- South Warwickshire Flying School (Warwick, Warwickshire)
- ACS Flight Training (Perth, Scotland)
- Booker Aviation (High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire)
- Flight Training London (Watford, London)
- Ravenair (Liverpool)
What is included in the scholarship?
- Flight hours and ground school training
- Temporary membership at a selected training provider
- Optional full-board accommodation at some locations (available upon request)
- Invitation to the Scholarship Awards Ceremony
How are scholarships awarded?
The selection committee evaluates applicants based on:
- Determination and passion for aviation
- Career aspirations and industry knowledge
- Communication skills and commitment
Do I need prior flying experience?
No! Our scholarships are designed to support both beginners and those with some prior experience.
Is there an interview process?
Yes. Shortlisted candidates will undergo an interview on April 30, May 1, and May 2, 2025, in London. Online interviews are available for those unable to travel.
Can I apply for more than one scholarship?
Yes! You are encouraged to apply for multiple scholarships to increase your chances of success, but you will only be awarded one per year.
When will I find out if I’m successful?
Successful applicants will be notified in early June 2025.
What if I am unsuccessful?
While we have limited scholarship slots, we encourage all applicants to stay involved with our aviation programs, events, and networking opportunities.
